Hey there! Here's a little about me.

I'm a writer, editor and all-around web content creator specializing in lifestyle and entertainment

Most recently, I spent the last eight years writing and editing dining, nightlife, style and shopping content for RedEye and Metromix at Tribune Publishing in Chicago. There, I reviewed Next's Paris 1906 menu during opening week, wrote about how to find the perfect pair of sunglasses and created RedEye's first all-inclusive wedding guide just after marriage equality became legal in Chicago. I chronicled the 12 Bars of Christmas pub crawl from start to finish, ate only bread for dinner for a week and measured the strength of boozy punches at five bars using a pocket breathalyzer (results not scientific).

Prior to Tribune, I worked for Chicago SHOPS magazine, style start-up Moxxie.com and Dance Spirit magazine in NYC, where I had a blast reviewing Broadway shows, wrangling ballerinas at photo shoots and interviewing the first winner of Fox TV's "So You Think You Can Dance."

My first job out of journalism school (Go Illini!) was working as a general assignment reporter for my hometown's local newspaper writing about garbage sticker price increases and two students who fashioned their prom attire out of duct tape.

I've also done live and taped segments on WGN Radio, WGN-TV and Rivet Radio to talk about everything from Chicago Blackhawks bars to gourmet ramen to Uber's lunch delivery service.
